Dominoes pizza to Snooki: Tick-tock your fifteen minutes are almost up

Spike TV's 7th Annual Video Game Awards 2009 - Arrivals
Say what you will about Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, the pint-sized orange-hued trash-talking star of controversial new MTV reality show Jersey Shore, her profile is definitely on the rise. I’m seeing this chick everywhere and there’s something refreshing about her in a sea of cardboard Kardashians and Pratts. Snooki’s punch to the face brought her to our attention but her personality keeps her on the radar. She doesn’t have to work too hard for coverage because she’s such a character.

Snooki, 21, told the advertisers who decided to pull their commercials from the show “F you,” and in turn one of those advertisers is noting the source. A rep from Dominoes pizza told E! Online that “there’s no need to get into a war with this young girl, because tick-tock, her fifteen minutes are almost up.” I beg to differ, and if so Dominoes just helped extend it a little longer by commenting. Dominoes said they didn’t take any money out of their ads with MTV, but it sounds like the rearranged their ads to avoid being associated with Jersey Shore.

The foul-mouthed reality starlet recently told Steppin’ Out magazine that she has some thoughts for Domino’s, Dell, UNICO and American Family Insurance: “F—k you! If you don’t want to watch, don’t watch. Just shut the hell up! I’m serious…F—k you!”

Snooki’s elegant outburst follows the decison of Domino’s, etc… to pull their advertising from the hit MTV reality show.

A rep for Domino’s says his first thought was to decline commenting to avoid giving Snooki extra publicity. But unlike Dell, he went ahead and gave us a lengthy comment anyway…

“Our first response was, ‘What a classy young lady—her parents must be so proud,'” the rep told us today. “There’s no need to get into a war with this young girl, because tick-tock, her fifteen minutes are almost up.”

Despite the beef between Domino’s and the New York Guidette, the pizza giant’s rep assures us there are no hard feelings toward MTV. “We have no issue with MTV or the programming it airs,” the rep said. “Just like viewers have a choice of what they want to watch, advertisers have a choice on what shows they want to advertise.”

“We didn’t pull a penny from MTV,” the rep continued. “We love what they do. We never made any critical commentary. It was a 30-second call, and MTV said, ‘OK,’ and that was it.”

I definitely think Snooki is on to better things when and if this Jersey Shore show ends. OK Magazine has a new interview with her and she says her goal is to get her own dating show, “Snookin for Love.” I can see it happening. There’s also an interview with her in In Touch in which she talks about her beauty regime. It includes copious amounts of Avon products sold by her mom and she recommends Paul Mitchell hairspray for the best hold. They posted the photo below of Snooki “without” makeup and the trademark poof in her hair. That’s what I look like after I put my makeup on. We’ll be seeing more of Snooki, and I get the feeling that she won’t pull a bunch of desperate stunts like Tila Tequila.

Here’s a link to a video of Snooki on The Wendy Williams show. (I can’t embed the video here.) She seems like a lot of fun.
