John Raymond Henry is an American Sculptor, John Henry was born in Lexington, Kentucky, In 1943. He has unique sculptures, and his sculptures is been compared to enormous welded steel drawings. He graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art in 1969. From 1978 until 1980, Raymond served as ConStruct’s President and Chairman. He was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Arts degree by the University of Kentucky in 1996. Additionally, from 2001 to 2002, Raymond served as Chairman of the International Sculpture Center.
Raymond has created numerous massive and large-scale works of art for museums, cities, and public organizations around the United States, Europe, and Asia which has been since 1971. At his private workshop in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Raymond designs, engineers, fabricates, and erects a variety of the largest contemporary metal sculptures, which range in height from 90 to 100 feet (27 to 30 meters) extreme.
