Jessica Simpson is in New York this week to continue her neverending promotion for The Price of Beauty. One thing you have to give Jessica, once she actually gets a job, she’s rather tireless in her promotional duties. Anyway, Jessica appeared on both Good Morning America and The View this morning, and she’s got some new print interviews too. First, her Good Morning America interview. I’ll admit, when Jessica dropped the whole “God was testing me” within the first minute, I rolled my eyes. But she has some intelligent moments, like when she was talking about skin bleaching and stuff. Here’s the clip:
But the real magic came with Jessica’s appearance on The View. You know those women were going to have a field day, and it struck me that Jessica would be a perfect fill-in/replacement hostess if Elisabeth ever got fired (cough cough please cough). First though: her styling. She looks terrible. Bad makeup, horrible dress. Yikes. Anyway, Jessica talks about how if she’s not married with kids by the time she’s 40 years old, she and Ken Paves are going to have a child together. She also talked about John Mayer, saying that after his Playboy interview, “My phone has been ringing. It’s more embarrassing because I’ll walk into a restaurant and I’ll notice that more men are looking at me and I feel like they’re undressing me. [I haven’t spoken to him.] He’ll never have his napalm again.” And when asked if Mayer said dumb things when they were dating, she said “I only thought he was dumb for dumping me.” Poor Jess.
