The couple have plans to get married in a simple city hall ceremony in Pasadena, California

Jussi-Pekka Kajaala and Adam Rippon are taking their relationship to the next stage!

The couple is now the proud parents of a new dog. They welcomed a new dog named Tony into their family. Their new canine is a rescue dog.

Adam revealed,

“We are heroes and we know that we saved a life. And there’s nothing Tony can do to repay us for what we’ve done a selfless act!”

Likewise, the couple wanted to find out what kind of dog Tony is so they did a doggy DNA test to find out. Adam has never had a dog so it is his first time parenting a canine.

Engagement of Jussi Pekka Kajaala and Adam Rippon

Jussi Pekka Kajaala and Adam Rippon met each other in 2017 through Tinder when Adam was competing internationally. They started dating in 2018 and two years later got engaged in February 2021.

The proposal happened when Rippon was staying with Kajaala in his native Finland. They were separated for almost 2020 and did long distances due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Adam revealed,

“When there was finally a chance for me to go and see him in Finland, I jumped at it. I was there for a little over two months. While I was there, I would tell him about five million jokes that I would want to pitch during my 5 hour zoom meetings for our NBC comedy. … And he would drive me into the Finnish forest”

Wedding plan

Adam Rippon and Jussi-Pekka Kajaala have plans to marry in a simple city hall ceremony in Pasadena, California. The couple does not want an expensive wedding. But they do not have any date in mind yet. If everything works out well for the engaged couple, they might get married in a few months.

Jussi is currently working on his visa paperwork to move to the USA from Finland.
