For the second night in a row, Jessica Chastain was killing it! I loved her butter Armani-not-Versace on Wednesday night, and I absolutely adore this Alexander McQueen look from her second night on the red carpet. I never really associate Chastain with McQueen, although she has worn the label to some big red carpets in this past. I wouldn’t have selected this for her either, but it looks great on her. It could have ended up looking like a fussy, overly bedazzled bridal look. But for some reason, it just works on her. So… did she get a new stylist and new hair and makeup people or what? Because it’s like a whole new Chastain. PS… You know what pulls it all together? The necklace. The necklace was a great choice.
Julianne Moore in Louis “No, Seriously” Vuitton. This is awful. What an awful thing to do to such a lovely woman. The way those bottom flaps look, it seems like the dress was unfinished, like the designer forget to break the tabs open. Her hair’s a mess too, it’s like someone gave her a terrible combover. GIRL, ARE YOU BALD?
Naomi Watts in Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2016. CB loves Naomi’s style, but I get tired of seeing Naomi in all of these pale colors. It feels like she dips into the nude-or-pastel well too often. This dress is perfectly pleasant, and I probably would have liked it more on someone else. Like, Blake Lively would have looked great in this.
